Ann McCann

Ann McCann’s paintings capture memories of travel, good times and the natural beauty all around her.   Her collectors tell her the same thing- that the paintings remind them of places they have been or important people in their lives, especially sisters, mothers and grandmothers.  Ann likes to paint flowers alone or flowers in the landscape, with thick paint applied with a knife and bright colors that sing.

Much of Ann’s painting over the last 20 years has been plein air work.  She has participated in painting trips to Venice, Tuscany, Paris, Provence, Southern Spain, Scotland and Israel.  She painted in the lavender fields of Provence, by Monet’s water lily pond, along the canals of Venice, under the windmills of La Mancha and in the wilds of Isle of Skye.
