"Hill Country Living" by Dyan Newton - First Place Winner in West Texas Watercolor Society Show

Dyan Newton was awarded First Place in the West Texas Watercolor Society Fall Show. Judge, Julie Schumer stated, "The criteria I used in judging the WTWS Fall Show consisted of: 1) Color Choices, 2) Composition, 3) Overall Effectiveness & Interest of the piece in relation to it's size. The subject matter was of less relevance. The first place painting, Dyan Newton's "Hill Country Living", hit high notes for me in all of these categories. The colors were vibrant and the piece is a wonderful combination of the realistic with the abstract."
